Is ANA Forming? NHC Says Maybe...

ANA???

That's the question of the day. The NHC put out a "SPECIAL"Tropical Weather Outlook to address the possibility of a subtropical low forming later this week from the non-tropical area of low pressure that will form off the East Coast.

So far the graphics still show nothing going on and AGAIN.. if it forms as a non-tropical low they will not address it in the graphics until the models show it transitioning to Sub-Tropical and if we do go down that road... it's name will be ANA.

A look at the visible satellite image shows the front STALLED OUT over Cuba and the Florida Straits. This is a prime set up for an early before the gun Sub-Tropical System when the water temps are warm and the upper air patterns are willing.

Water temperatures way above normal for this time of year

That's a lot of orange and red off the North Coast of Cuba and SE coast of Florida.

Let's call it energy available...

And the energy is online...

A simple search for Hashtag #ANA shows the excitement.

I'll update later this evening.
As I said earlier it still has to form.
Models disagree on timing and forward speed.
The models do agree something is forming
