NHC Hightlights 2 Yellow Twin Areas...

Not super impressive .... but seems the NHC had taken a stance and divided up the "elongated area of low pressure" this evening into 2 definitive areas.

All I can see at this hour is the twins from Gatsby like yellow butterflies..

As of 11 PM tonight there are no floaters up and no Invests. You can bet that the first thing I do Tuesday morning is check if either have a floater up.

Why do I want to say 2 Yellow Xs sitting in the sea? Let's see what this looks like 12 hours from now.

As for me I'm watching the evolution of the flow of moisture across the Atlantic by following the weak wave that stayed together the whole way west and is now around South Florida after tangling a bit today with Cuba. The trough axis currently is hard to see but lies somewhere in the Florida Straits I believe. Wondering if any of this energy gets into the GOM or gets swooped up by the weather to it's north.

This is interesting when you look at 2014 so far as a season. Note this wave is close to where Arthur formed, however Arthur had a discernible spin always whereas this wave doesn't. But, it's the pattern we are looking at as all hurricane seasons have their own look...

Now overlay the path this wave took on the loop below and see how it fits in with the pattern.

The pattern is set. The waves are not ready yet. Eventually we will get a wave that has a viable circulation over warm water that gets a name and could be a problem down the road as all of the previous waves ended up near PR, Cuba, Florida...including Bertha and Arthur.

Still looking for the C storm ... and possibly the D storm according to the NHC.

Lastly.... note that these last few waves have taken a bit bite out of SAL. Is that a temporary illusion tonight or a sign of things to come?

What will tomorrow bring?

I'm not sure ...but I watched football on TV tonight :)

A sign we are moving closer and closer to September Remember...
